Well the Detour was a little bit hard and the Roadblock can make one go mad counting all those bells! But still, this Leg is quite cool! Do you find this valuable?

I'm so tired of those Good Legs! We usually have Memorable Legs, Great Legs, Amazing Legs.

But this season, they're all just... good.

Even though I've been dogging the Poker Girls throughout the season, I really felt very bad for them last night. They were trying SO hard to get through the detour and just couldn't do it. On the other hand, Brian and Ericka are no longer in my top 3. Brian is fine - and I really thought a lot of him for the way he acted at the roadblock - but Ericka got on my last nerve during this leg. Loved the Globetrotter guys doing their "Soul Train" routine during the detour. Next week is going to be BRUTAL, though. Don't know how many of you were watching TAR during season 4, or have seen it in repeats or online - but that hay bale challenge may have been the toughest they've ever done. I thought it was good and fun. I'm sorry to see the girls go, but someone had to lose. When the guys won, Phil told them that they had won a "sand bucket". What did he mean? Do you find this valuable?

Not fair, the couple that came in second both went up to count the bells while the other teams only sent one person up.

Okay. Like they won a "dune buggy" but we didn't see a major advertising plug for the dune buggy. That's just strange. Most manufacturers jump at the chance for free advertising- especially on an Emmy winning reality show. Hmmm.

I was a little surprised by that too. Usually Phil at least says who the manufacturer is, but not this time.

Speaking of the Emmys, though - is anyone else as ticked off as I am that Phil didn't win?

The girls were set up to lose the detour because it was a man's challehge and 90% of the females would not have been able to complete either task. It really wasn't fair. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Are you KIDDING me? If you've watched TAR since the beginning, you should know that female teams have been able to mop up the floor with the guys on physical challenges more than once. I'm sure that the TAR research folks made sure that the hammer/bell part of the challenge wasn't too tough for a normal woman to accomplish.

Sorry I disagree, usually detours are fast but require strength or slower and require co-ordination/mental. If the bell wasn't there on the co-ordination detour, maria and tiffany wouldn't have been eliminated. The women that did take on the golf struggled but their male partners helped them a lot.

This is one of only a few times I've thought a task really was just unfair.

OK, OK, I cry UNCLE. I am new to TAR and found that particular section of the detour quite pitiful. Besides, on the bell tower, the information was passed on voluntarily, not requested. But, now water under the bridge. Looking forward to next episode. Thank you for all the comments. Do you find this valuable?

Here's the thing, though - when the girls went BACK to the bell/dancing detour, Tiffany came VERY close to ringing the bell - and that was AFTER they had put a lot of energy into trying the golf. So my feeling is, if they'd stayed with their original choice, eventually Tiffany would have been able to ring the bell. You could tell when they came back that she had finally figured out the correct technique to use- just didn't have the strength by then to do it.

They were not my favorites but they really got a bum deal. This was a strength challenge and they were the only team with a man on it so they were at a distinct disadvantage. If you had taken the male out of all the mixed teams they would not have finished either. They should have been allowed to continue with a small penalty or be included in Amazing Race 16

Although I do feel bad for Maria and Tiffany - when they signed up to do the race, they knew that there were going to be some difficult physical challenges. If they weren't prepared to meet the challenges, they shouldn't have entered the competition. By the way - I don't know whether to be horrified or amused that after all the years that we women have been asking for equal rights and equal opportunities, and saying that we can do anything a man can do, now so many of you seem to be taking the attitude of "oh poor little weak women, of course they couldn't do that". An attitude like that can set the feminist movement back years. Do you find this valuable?
