 LEG 1 RECAP: Detroit Michigan --> Cardiff, WalesThe teams started on their race around the world in Detroit Michigan. The clue told them to make their way to the international airport and get on 1 of 3 flights to Cardiff, Wales. The teams on the first flight were Toni & Dallas, Marisa & Brooke, Nick & Starr and Terence & Sarah. On the second flight was Kelly & Christy, Mark & Bill, Ken & Tina and Aja & Ty. And on the final flight was Anthony & Stephanie, Anita & Arthur and Andrew & Dan. Once teams arrived in Wales they had to make their way to the Millenium Stadium where they would find there next clue. That clue instructed teams to got the Pierhead Building and search around on the inside of the building for their next clue. This clue was a Detour. The detour was "Light Climb" or "Heavy Bags". In "Light Climb" teams made their to the Cardiff Castle. Once there they would've have to scale up the side of the castle in order to reiceve there next clue. In "Heavy Bags" team would have to go to Cardiff Central Market which is an indoor shopping centre in the middle of Cardiff. Once there they would recieve a shopping list from a woman standing at the door. When the list was completed the teams would give their items to the woman to recieve there next clue. Teams that chose "Light Climb" were Nick & Starr, Terence & Sarah, Ken & Tina, Mark & Bill, Kelly & Christy, Andrew & Dan, Anthony & Stephanie, Anita & Arthur and Aja & Ty. The only team that chose "Heavy Bags" was Marisa & Brooke. Once they completed the list they would recieve there next clue. This clue told teams to make there ways to Coch Castle where they would recieve there next clue. Toni & Dallas and Marisa & Brooke were first to arrive at the castle. The next clue said "Take yourself directly to the  next pit stop Roath Park, Hurry the last team to arrive will be eliminated." Toni & Dallas and Marisa & Brooke ran out of the castle and to go get taxi's to take them to the pit stop. But in the end Toni & Dallas' taxi got them there faster and they were team number 1 followed by Marisa & Brooke a few minutes later. The rest of the teams checked in except for Anthony & Stephanie & Andrew & Dan. They ran in a footrace to the pitstop and Anthony & Stephanie arrive before them and checked in 10th. Andrew & Dan were the last team to arrive and became the first team eliminated from the Amazing Race. |  LEG 2 RECAP: Cardiff, Wales --> Vilnius, Lithuania The 10 remaining teams departed the pitstop in the order the arrived. Toni & Dallas who were the first team to arrive got to the clue first which told them to make their way to the airport and they had to get on a flight to Vilnius which was the largest city and the capital of Lithuania. Marisa & Brooke caught up to Toni & Dallas at the airport and they tried to get tickets together. They found out that all teams were probably going to be on the same flight. And they were. Once in Vilnuis teams had to take a taxi to Ausros Vartai Street where they would look around in order to recieve there next clue. Nick & Starr were first out of the airport followed by Terrence & Sarah, Toni & Dallas and Kelly & Christy. This clue told teams to make their way to The Old Town which was a historical center about Vilnius. This clue was a  detour. The detour was "Cathedral Square" or "Town Hall Square". In "Cathedral Square" teams would have to make their way to Cathedral square where they would have to get flags from the following locations in the area: Vilnius Cathedral, Cathedral's Belfry, Gediminas Tower, Hill of Three Crosses, Monument to Grand Duke Gediminas and the location where the Royal Palace is being re-constructed. Once they get all the flags they can trade it in for their next clue. In "Town Hall Square" teams would make their way to Town Hall Square. Once there teams would have to join in on the traditions of the Kaizuko muge which is an annual Polish and Lithuanian festival held in Town Hall Square. One team member would have to knit a shirt while the other had to bake honey cookies. Once they have completed each task they will recieve their next clue. Teams that chose "Cathedral Square" were Terence & Sarah, Nick & Starr, Ken & Tina, Mark & Bill, Aja & Ty and Anita & Arthur. Teams that chose "Town Hall Square" were Marisa & Brooke, Kelly & Christy, Toni & Dallas and Anthony & Stephanie. The clue told teams to make their ways to St.Nicholas which was the oldest standing church in Lithuania. It was built before 1387. This clue was a Roadblock. Teams had to make their way to a nearby restaurant where they would have to eat a traditional Lituanian soup. Sauerkraut Soup. They would also have to eat it with Black  Rye Bread once the task was completed the would recieve their next clue. The members from each team that completed the roadblock were: Brooke, Dallas, Sarah, Starr, Ty, Ken, Arthur, Christy, Anthony and Bill. Thy next clue said " Take yourself directly to the next pitstop the Europa Tower, hurry the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Marisa & Brooke arived first! They were followed by Terence & Sarah, Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, Kelly & Christy, Anthony & Stephanie, Mark & Bill, Ken & Tina and Aja & Ty. Anita & Arthur fell too far behind during the leg and couldn't catch up and they became the second team eliminated from the Amazing Race. |
 LEG 3 RECAP: Vilnius, Lituania --> Prague Czech Rebublic.Teams had to make their way to the airport and get on a flight to Prague, Czech Republic. Marisa & Brooke departed first and arrived first at the airport about an hour before the other teams. They purchased tickets and waited. Terence & Sarah, Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas and Kelly & Christy got on the same flight as Marisa & Brooke getting them all into Prague two hours before all the other teams. Ken & Tina, Anthony & Stephanie, Aja & Ty and Mark & Bill got on the second flight. Once in Prague teams made there ways to the Mostecka where they would find there next clue. This clue told teams to take one of eight marked cars make their way to Charles Bridge. Once they arrive they will search the bridge and it's surrounding area for their next clue.On the way to the bridge Marisa & Brooke got lost and had to stop directions allowing the other 4 teams to pass by them. Kelly & Christy were first to the bridge but they couldn't locate the clue. They were followed by Terence & Sarah and Toni & Dallas who immediatley saw the clue and the divorcees ran towards them.Nick & Starr arrived shortly afterwards. This clue was a Detour. The Detour was "Slow Dance" or "Remember the Time". In "Slow Dance" teams have to make their way to Milnuic and Gehry's Dancing House where they would have to suit up like a professional Czech dancer and learn a traditional dance. Once they think they are ready they will perform in front of three judges if they like there performance they will recieve their next clue. Teams that completed this Detour were: Marisa & Brooke and Nick & Starr. In "Remember  the Time" teams made their ways to The Astromical Clock. Once there they would have to run up to the clocks and read what time it is by using the sun dial and the moon dial. They would then have to go back dowstairs and correctly adjust a man's watch to the correct time in order to recieve their next clue. Teams that completed this Detour were: Ken & Tina, Terence & Sarah, Kelly & Christy, Anthony & Stephanie, Aja & Ty, Mark & Bill and Toni & Dallas. There next clue instructed teams to make their ways to the Prague TV Tower once there they would receive there next clue. Toni & Dallas arrived first closely followed by Kelly & Christy. They both got to the cluebox and read the clue. It was a roadblock. In this roadblock one member from each team had to make their way to New Town also know as Nove Mesto. Once there they would recieve a map of New Town and must make their ways to all the marked buildings and try to convince the owner to let them keep something from each shop or home. Once they gathered 1 thing from every home they would recieve there next clue. Dallas, Starr, Terence, Christy, Marisa, Anthony, Ken, Mark and Aja completed the Roadblock. This clue instructed teams to make their way to the next Pit Stop Vysehrad Castle. In order to get to the castle teams had to row a boat through Vlatava River and on to the  island/hill the Castle was built on. Toni & Dallas and Kelly & Christy had a row challenge to the island. Toni & Dallas won the race and finished the leg in 1st Place! Kelly & Christy settled for 2nd. They were followed by Terence & Sarah, Marisa & Brooke and Nick & Starr. The remaining teams were arriving at the detour. They finished up the detour and the roadblock and Ken & Tina finished 6th and Mark & Bill finished 7th. Anthony & Stephanie and Aja & Ty were racing towards the pitstop. In the end Anthony & Stephanie finished 8th and Aja & Ty became the third team eliminated from the Amazing Race! |  LEG 4 RECAP: Prague, Czech Republic --> Istanbul, Turkey.Toni & Dallas and Kelly & Christy departed the pitstop a minute apart from eachother. There next clue instructed teams to make their way to the airport and get on a flight to Istanbul, Turkey. All teams except for Anthony & Stephanie managed to get on the same flight. Anthony & Stephanie's flight arrived in Istanbul 3 hours after the other teams arrived. Once in Istanbul teams had to make their ways to Galata Tower where they would recieve there next clue. This clue instructed teams to make their ways to the Hagia Sophia. This clue was a Roadblock. In this roadblock 1 member from each team had to search the inside of the church for a small statue which they would have to take with them to the pitstop. Once they get the statue they would have to go to the stone remains of the first church and then the marbel remains of the second church. They would get a number from both of these  sites and show the numbers and the statues to the man at the front of the church to get there next clue. The people who completed the roadblock were: Starr, Brooke, Toni, Christy, Terence, Tina, Bill and Stephanie. There nexy clue told teams to make their ways to the Kanyon Shopping Mall. Once there they would recieve there next clue. The next clue was a Detour. The Detour was: "Kick It" or "Eat It". In "Kick It" teams would have to make their ways to the Bestikas Inonu Stadium. Once there they would have to kick three footballs into the scoring thing. When they get all 3 they woul recieve there next clue. In "Eat It" teams had to make their ways to La Rue Francaise where they would have to enter the marked restaurant. Once there they would have to eat a traditional Turkish appetizer and dessert. Once they finish eating they will receive there next clue. The teams that chose "Kick It" were: Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, Ken & Tina, Anthony & Stephanie, Terence & Sarah and Kelly & Christy. Marisa & Brooke and Mark & Bill chose "Eat It". The next clue told teams to make their ways to the University of Istanbul once there they would search the ground for their next  clue. This clue told teams to make their ways to the next pit stop The Sultan Ahmed Mosque. It was a footrace to the top of the Mosque between Marisa & Brooke and Nick & Starr. But in the end Nick & Starr beat out Marisa & Brooke for first plac.e And Marisa & Brooke settled for second. They were followed by Toni & Dallas, Kelly & Christy, Ken & Tina, Terence & Sarah and Mark & Bill. Anthony & Stephanie fell too far behind during the leg and couldn't catch up to the other teams and they became the 4th team eliminated from the Amazing Race! |
 LEG 5 RECAP: Istanbul, Turkey ---> Sydney, Australia.Nick & Starr departed the pitstop first with Marisa & Brooke only a few minutes behind them. There next clue told them to go to Sydney, Australia. On the first flight there was Nick & Starr, Kelly & Christy, Toni & Dallas, Marisa & Brooke and Ken & Tna. The second flight contained Terence & Sarah and Mark & Bill. Once they arrived in Sydney teams had to make there ways to Bondi Beach where they would find there next clue somewhere along the shore. This clue was a Detour. The Detour was "Surf It" or "Search It". In "Surf It" teams would make there way to surf board rental shack on the beach and they would then have to take a surfing lesson. Once they think they are ready they will have to show the instructor what they learned. If they do well the instructor will hand them there next clue, if they don't do well they will have to take the lesson all over again. The teams that completed "Surf It" were Marisa & Brooke, Nick & Starr, Terence & Sarah and Ken & Tina. In "Search It" teams had to search the 1 kilometer long beach using a metal detector to find a metal surfboard in the ground. Once they detector beeps they will have to dig it up and then hand it to the man at the surf board shop. Once they do that they will get handed there next clue. Toni & Dallas and Nick & Starr finished up quickly and they read there next clue. "Take yourself to Freedom Arch once there you will recieve your next clue, caution U-Turn ahead." Toni & Dallas and Nick & Starr raced to the arch hoping that the other team wouldn't yield them. Toni & Dallas arrived  first and U-Turned Nick & Starr. As Nick & Starr were heading back to the beach Marisa & Brooke and Kelly & Christy were heading towards the Arch. THis clue told them to go tp the Sydney Harbor Bridge where they would get there next clue. Toni & Dallas got lost on the way to the bridge and had to stop and ask for directions several times so Marisa & Brooke passed them. The next clue was a Roadblock. In this Roadblock one member from each team had to bungee jump off the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Once they jump off and back on they would recieve there next clue. Brooke, Dallas, Christy, Ken, Nick, Terence and Mark completed the Roadblock. The next clue told teams to make their way to the Sydney Opera House, once they arrive they will search the inside of the Opera House to find there next clue. Marisa & Brooke and Toni & Dallas were headed towards the Opera House, Christy and Ken were getting ready for the Roadblock, Nick & Starr were still at the Detour after being U-Turned and Terence & Sarah and Mark & Bill just landed in Sydney. Marisa & Brooke found the clue first and it said  to take yourself to the next Pitstop the "Randwick Racecourse" hurry the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Marisa & Brooke arrived at the pitstop in first place a little over 10 minutes before Toni & Dallas who arrived second. They were followed by Kelly & Christy, Ken & Tina and Nick & Starr. Terence and Mark were both at the Roadblock now Terence jumped right away but Mark got a little scared a took some time before he jumped. Because of this Terence & Sarah got the lead but lost it once they got to the Opera House. Mark & Bill found the clue first and then Terence & Sarah saw them at the cluebox and caught up. It was a footrace to the finish and in the end Terence & Sarah arrived 6th meaning Mark & Bill were the last team to arrive and they became the 5th team eliminated from the Amazing Race! |  LEG 6 RECAP: Sydney, Australia --> Taipei, Taiwan.Marisa & Brooke headed off to the airport in first place. There clue told them to make their way to Taipei, Taiwan. Once they arrived at the airport they went to book tickets but they just missed the early flight and will be getting on the same flight as all the other teams. Once in Taiwan teams would have to make their ways to Taipei 101 once there they would fnd there next clue. There next clue told them to make their ways to the Chian Kai - shek Memorial Hall. Nick & Starr and Toni & Dallas were heading there first followed closely by Marisa & Brooke. Ken & Tina and Terence & Sarah were working together this leg and they were currently in 4th and 5th. Kelly & Christy fell behind at the airport where they could'n find a taxi and are currently in last place. On the way to the Memorial Hall bot Nick & Starr and Toni & Dallas got lost and Marisa & Brooke arrived first. They opened the clue there was a Detour and a Fast Forward. They chose not to take the Fast Forward since they thought that either Nick & Starr or Toni & Dallas took it so they decided to the Detour. In this Detour teams had a choice between "Warm Bath" or "Cold Shower". In "Warm Bath" teams would make their ways to Yangmingshan National Park where they would search for the hot springs. They would've have to change into swim suits and search the bottom of the springs for there next clue. Once they find it they can continue on with the race. In "Cold Shower" teams would mae their ways to the Taipei Zoo. Once there they would have to go to one of the following marked exhibits: Elephants, Giraffes, Tigers, Lions or Zebras. They would then have to wash 3 animals in the exhibit they chose. Once this task is completed the Zoo Ranger will give them there next clue. The teams that chose "Warm Bath" were: Marisa & Brooke, Nick & Starr, Terence & Sarah and Ken & Tina. Toni & Dallas were the only team to complete "Cold Shower". Kelly & Christy decided to take the Fast Forward. For their Fast Forward they would have to make their ways to a Motor Scooter dealership where they would  have to deliver packages to the homes on the list by using a motr scooter. Once all packages are deliverd they will recieve there next clue. Kelly & Christy's next clue was to go to the pitstop the Love Staue. Kelly & Christy arrived because of the Fast Forward and finished the leg in 1st place! Marisa & Brooke and Nick & Starr quickly finished the detour and made their ways to the Baoan Temple. At the temple there next clue was a Roadblock. In the roadblock one member from each team would make their way to the Fromer Municipal Taipei Baseball Stadium where they would have to hit or get 3 home runs. Once all 3 home runs are finished they would receive there next clue. The members who completed the roadblock were: Nick, Marisa, Dallas, Terence and Ken. Marisa struggled with the Roadblock allowing Nick to pass her. Nick & Starr opened there next clue. Take yourself to the next pitstop the Love Statue, hurry the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Nick & Starr arrived at the pitstop expecting a first  place finish but they were team number 2. As Marisa was doing the Roadblock Toni & Dallas arrived. She raced Dallas to finish the Roadblock and she got her 3 home runs first. They went to the pitstop and came in as team number 3. Toni & Dallas arrived 4th. Ken & Tina and Terence & Sarah raced to the pitstop but in the end Terence & Sarah were the last team to arrive. Fortunatley it was a Non- Elimination leg but they would receive a speedbump in the next leg of the race. |
 LEG 7 RECAP: Taipei,Taiwain --> Paris, France.The 6 remaining teams went by taxi to the airport. They were going to Paris France. On the first flight was Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, Marisa & Brooke and Kelly & Christy. While Terence & Sarah and Ken & Tina were on the second flight. Once in Paris teams had to make their ways to the Arc de Triomphe, once there they would recieve there next clue. This clue told teams to go inside the Arc and search for their next clue. Marisa & Brooke and Nick & Starr arrived first and then quickly found the clue. The clue inside the Arc told teams to make their ways to the Roman Bath beneath the Latin Quarter, once there thet would find the next clue. That clue was a Roadblock. In this Roadblock one member from each team had to find the Apodyterium (the undressing room) and change into a swim suit. Once that is done they would have to soak in the Frigidarium, the Caldarium and the Laconicum. Once they have found all 3 pools they can go back and recieve there next clue. The people who preformed this Roadblock were: Brooke, Nick, Christy, Sarah, Ken and Toni. Brooke quickly found all the rooms and finished the Roadblock before Nick putting Marisa and herself into first place. The opened there clue and it instructed them to go to Place de la Concorde where  they would receive there next clue. It was a Detour. The Detour was. "De-Code It" or "Decorate It". In "De-code It" teams would make their ways to the Obelisk in the centre of the Place. Oncce there they would be handed a hierglyph book and would have to decode part of the Obelisk to receive there next clue. In "Decorate It" teams would make their ways to the Palace. Once there they would have to look at a room and then go into an empty room and try to make the empty room look the other room. All the furniture they need is in the main room of the palace so they would run back and forth grabbing furrniture. Marisa & Brooke, Nick & Starr and Toni 7 Dallas did "De-code It" while Kelly & Christy, Terence & Sarah and Ken & Tina Did "Decorate It". The next clue told teams to make their ways to the next Pit Stop, The Luxembourg Garden. On the  way to the Pit Stop Marisa & Brooke got lost and had to stop for directions allowing Nick & Starr and Toni & Dallas to pass them. Nick & Starr out ran Toni & Dallas to the pitstop and they finished as team number 1! Toni & Dallas finished 2nd and Marisa & Brooke finished 3rd several minutes later. Kelly & Christy then checked in 4th. Terence & Sarah and Ken & Tina were neck and neck for the entire leg and it all cam down to the footrace finish to the pitstop. Terence & Sarah and Ken & Tina stepped on the mat within seconds of eachother but Ken & Tina were the last team to arrive and they became the 6th team eliminated from the Amazing Race! |  LEG 8 RECAP: Paris, France --> Maputo, Mozambique.The 5 remaining teams raced to the airport to get on a flight to Maputo, Mozambique.On the first flight to Mozambique was Nick & Starr and Kelly & Christy. On the second flight was Marisa & Brooke. And on the final flight was Terence & Sarah and Toni & Dallas. Once in Maputo the teams would have to make their ways out on to the take off area of the airport where they would find there next clue. This clue was a Roadblock. In this Roadblock one member from each time had to pick one of 5 marked airplanes and then (with the help of the pilot) they would have to succesfully take off the airplane into the air. Once they are airbourne the must fly around for a bit then turn the plane around and land it once that was completed the pilot would give them there next clue. The people who preformed the Roadblock were:  Nick, Marisa, Kelly, Terence and Dallas. There next clue told them to make their ways to dowton Maputo where they would search the streets for a marked building where they would find there next clue. As Nick & Starr and Kelly & Christy started driving downtown Marisa & Brooke arrived at the Roadblock. Nick & Starr found the clue first it was a Detour. This Detour was "Local Islands" or "Local Work". In "Local Islands" teams would go to the Maputo Harbour where they would then take a boat to Maputo Bay. Once in Maputo Bay they would have to scale up a mountain type thing and get a flag at the type once they get done they would have to get on their boat and go to Elephants Island. Once on Elephants Island they would have to search through the marked trees for an envelope. There are hundreds of trees and each one has an enevelope on it however only 3 say The Amazing Race, all the others say Sorry Try Again. Only 3 teams can complete this Detour so it's first come first serve. In "Local Work" teams would also make their ways to Maputo Harbour. They will have to find the old man in the yellow shirt and he will give them bait and a fishing rod. They will then go out on a boat and try to catch atleast 20 fish. Once they catch all 20 they must give back to the man and he will hand them there next clue. The next clue told teams to make their ways on foot to the next pitstop "British Museum" hurry the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Nick & Starr and Kelly & Christy both chose the "Local Islands" Detour but it took them both some time allowing Marisa & Brooke to get to Maputo Island the same time as them. The 3 teams raced to Elephants Island and then Nickl & Starr and Kelly & Christy both found clues quickly leaving Marisa & Brooke behind. The 2 teams ran in a Footrace to the pitstop but in the end Nick & Starr beat out Kelly & Christy for first place. Marisa & Brooke arrived several minutes later in third place. At this time Toni & Dallas and Terence & Sarah just finished up the Roadblock and were on their ways  to the Detour. At first Terence & Sarah went to the "Local Islands" Detour but once they got to Elephants Islands they realized the other 3 teams already were there and they had to go back to the Harbour putting them far behind Toni & Dallas. Toni & Dallas were struggling at the Detour and when they caught there 12th fish Terence & Sarah arrived. Terence & Sarah's luck was a bit better and by the time Toni & Dallas finished Terence & Sarah had caught 17 fish. Toni & Dallas started running to the pistop with Terence & Sarah just minutes behind them. However they had just enough of a lead ahead of Terence & Sarah that allowed them to check in 4th. Terence & Sarah arrived last 3 minutes after and became the 7th team eliminated from the Amazing Race! |
 LEG 9RECAP: Maputo Mozambique --> Delhi, India. The 4 remaining teams went to the airport and got on to a flight to Delhi. All teams got on the same flight. Once in Delhi they had to self drive to the Lotus Temple where they would find there next clue. This clue told teams to make their ways to the India Gate. Marisa & Brooke and Nick & Starr were the first teams out of the airport and got into the cars. Toni & Dallas left next and Kelly & Christy left last because they stopped and bought a map and got directions. Nick & Starr arrived at the Lotus Temple first they ran and inside and searched for the clue once they found it and left Marisa & Brooke arrived found it quickly and joined Nick & Starr back in the fron on the way to the gate. Kelly & Christy beat Toni & Dallas to the Temple but they found the clues together and left at the same time. Nick & Starr arrived first at the India Gate a couple of minutes before Marisa & Brooke. The next clue told them to make their ways tothe Qutb Minar, once there they would have to search the grounds for there next clue. The next clue was a Detour. "Build It" or "Draw It". In "Build It" teams would make their ways to the top of the tower and choose material to make a sculpture of the tower. They can choose between Modeling Clay, Wood, Styrofoam or Cardboard. They must then take everything back outside of the tower and start to make the tower. Once they are done they will take there sculpture back to the man at the top of the tower. If he is satisfied they will receive there next clue. In "Draw It" Teams must make their ways to the top of the tower grab some pencils, a canvas, an easel and paint. The will take the material outside the tower and paint a picture of the tower. Once down they will take up to the man at the top of the tower and he will hand them there next clue. Nick & Starr, Marisa & Brooke and Kelly & Christy chose "Draw It" and Toni & Dallas chose "Build It". Kelly & Christy finished up first and read there next clue was top make their ways to Dilli Haat. As Kelly & Christy were driving Nick & Starr finished the Detour  and raced them to Dilli Haat. Once they arrived there next clue was a Roadblock. In this Roadblock one member from each team would have to pick up and smash hand made clay pots. There are thousands of pots and only 4 have a clue in them. Once you find the clue inside a pot you can continue on with the race. As Christy and Starr started to smash pots Marisa & Brooke arrived. Marisa chose to join Nick and Christy in the Roadblock. Starr found the clue first and it said Make your way to the next pitstop Akshardham Temple, Hurry the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Nick & Starr arrived at the pitstop and finished the leg in 1st for the 3rd time in a row. Marisa and Christy were still searching when Dallas joined  them. Christy found it and her and Kelly went to the pitstop and finished 2nd. Marisa and Dallas both found the clue at about the same time and Marisa & Brooke and Toni & Dallas raced to the pitstop. It was a footrace up the long pathway to the mat but in the end Marisa & Brooke arrived 3rd and Toni & Dallas arrived last but it was a non-elimination leg and they were not eliminated, however they would reiceve a speedbump in the next leg of the race. |  LEG 10RECAP: Delhi, India --> Santiago, Chile. The 4 remaining teams went to the Delhi airport. Kelly & Christy were on the first flight to Santiago, Chile and Marisa & Brooke, Nick & Starr and Toni & Dallas were on the last flight. Once in Santiago teams made their ways to the Palacio de la Moneda where they would search the grounds for their next clue. Since Kelly & Christy arrived before all the other teams in Santiago they got to the clue and opened it up. It said to go to Santa Lucia Hill. The clue at Santa Lucia was a Roadblock. In this Roadblock one member from each team had to ride a bike down the old path of a train. Once they reach the end of the path they will have to walk to the Monument of Pedro del Valdivia and the Monument of archbishop Manuel Vicuna Larrain. At each of these locations they will grab a flag. Once they get all three flags they bike up the path again and then walk or run to the fountain in Patio Circular where they will exchange their flags for their next clue. Since Christy and Dallas already completed the maximum amount of Roadblocks Kelly and Toni have to do the Roadblock for the rest of the race. The people who completed the Roadblock were: Marisa, Nick, Kelly and Toni. The next clue told them to make their ways to Sculpture Park where they will search through the sculptures for their next clue. As Kelly & Christy went to the park the other teams arrived and were going to the Palacio de la Moneda. The clue at sculpture park told teams to self drive to La Parva Ski Resort where they would find there next clue. This clue was a Detour. "Gliding Down" or "Hurrying Up". In "Gliding Down" teams would have to make their ways to the top of the ski hill using the chairlift. At the top they would then have to ski down the hill picking up a total of 5 markers going down. They would then have to make their ways back up to the top and then snowboard down collecting 5 markers on the way down. By the end each member should have 10 markers which tehy will  exchange for their next clue. In "Hurrying Up" teams would have to put on some hiking equipment and make their ways up the ski hill. Once they reach the top they would recieve there next clue. Kelly & Christy chose "Gliding Down" and when they finished read there next clue. It said "Self drive to the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Caution U-Turn ahead". Marisa finished the Roadblock before Nick and Toni did and Brooke and herself made their ways to Sculpture Park. Nick finished shortly after Marisa and Toni was having some diffuculty with it.When Kelly & Christy arrived at the Museo Nacional Bellas Artes they decided to U-Turn Nick & Starr. Th next clue todl them to make their ways to the next Pitstop "Plaza de Armas" hurry the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Kelly & Christy arrived at the mat as team number 1. They recieved the news from Phil that they would be one of the 3 teams racing for the 1 million dollars. Marisa & Brooke chose the "Gliding Down" Detour and so did Nick & Starr. Toni & Dallas were no where in site. Marisa & Brooke finished first (since they arrived first) and went to the Museo. They then made their ways to the Plaza de Armas and checked in as team number 2 and that  they were one of the three teams racing for the 1 million dollars! Nick & Starr went to the Museo and found out they were U-Turned and went back to La Parva. Once they arrived again they saw Toni & Dallas getting ready for the "Gliding Down" Detour. Nick & Starr got abput half way through the "Hurrying Up" Detour when Toni & Dallas finished the skiing portion. When Toni & Dallas finshed snowboarding Nick & Starr reached the top however they still needed to hike back down. Toni & Dallas got lost on the way to Plaza de Armas and Nick & Starr finally re-arrived at the Museo. The two teams raced to the Pitstop but Toni & Dallas had just enough of a lead to check into the pitsop 3rd and they were informed they were in the final 3. Nick & Starr stepped on the mat in last place because of their U-Turn and they were sadly became the final team eliminated from The Amazing Race! |
 LEG 11RECAP: Santiago, Chile ---> Beverly Hills, California Kelly & Christy who arrived first, ripped open there clue and found the Roadblock. In this Roadblock one meber would travel by bike to the Santiago central station. Once there they would have to ride buses around Santiago to the five marked stops on the provided map. Once they arrive at all 5 stops they will recieve there next clue. The members who performed the Roadblock were Brooke, Kelly and Toni. Brooke quickly finished up with Kelly close behind and Toni at 3 of 5 stops. The next clue told teams to make their ways to the Santiago International Airport where they were to get on a flight to there final destination city, Beverly Hills, California. Marisa & Brooke got on a flight departing in Beverly Hills in 4 hours they looked around for a quicker flight but realized it was the fastest. Kelly & Christy got lost on the way to the airport allowing Toni & Dallas to arrive at the airport ahead of them. Toni & Dallas then got the last two tickets on the same flight as Marisa & Brooke meaning Kelly & Christy would get on a later flight arriving almost 9 hours after the arrival of Marisa & Brooke and Toni & Dallas. Once in Beverly Hills, Marisa & Brooke departed the airport first and made their ways to The Beverly Hills post office where they would find there next clue.They arrived with Toni & Dallas at around the same time and ripped open the clue and irt said to make their ways to  the Beverly Hills Garden where they must search through the flowers for their next clue. At the gardens both teams had troubles locating the flowersuntil Toni finally spotted one. There next clue was a Detour "High Dive" or Low Drive" . In "High Dive" team had would make their ways by taxi to the Benedict Canyon Circa where they would then hike up the canyon and then bungee down, After the jump is completed they will recieve there next clue and the bungee worker will drive them to there next destination. In "Low Drive" teams would make their to the Beverly Hills Speedway where they would have to race six laps in a boxart around the track. Once both members have completed the six laps they will recieve there next clue. Marisa & Brooke chose to do "High Dive" while Toni & Dallas chose to do "Low Drive" and later on in the race Kelly & Christy chose "Low Drive" aswell. Once the Detour was completed teams would have to make their ways to the Electric Fountain where they would find there next clue. Marisa & Brooke finished the Detour later but arrived at the fountain first because Toni & Dallas' taxi got lost. The next clue told teams to make their ways on foot to the Beverly Hills version of "The Spanish Steps" where at the top of the steps is there next clue. It was a footrace to the steps and Marisa & Brooke got one local to take them there while Toni & Dallas navigated using a map. Marisa & Brooke arrived first with Toni & Dallas arriving about 1 minute later. The clue said "Take yourself to the Finish Line: Wilshire Boulevard, Hurry the first team to arrive will win The Amazing Race And 1 Million Dollars! Both teams got into taki's and raced to Wilshire. Then at the finishline it was a footrace between Southern Belles/ Best Friends Marisa & Brooke and Mother / Son Toni & Dallas down the boulevard. They saw the 8 eliminated teams lined  up cheering them on and they saw Phil standing on the mat. "Marisa & Brooke...... You are the Winners of The Amazing Race!, Toni & Dallas you are team number 2". A few hours later Kelly & Christy arrived "Kelly & Christy you are team number 3." So in the end Marisa & Brooke won the Amazing Race, the 1 million dollars, and the tilte of the Best Team From Season 13. | |
