The first episode of TAR season 15 aired Sunday, September 27th at 8:00 PM. Before the race started, Phil made an announcement that one team would be eliminated at the starting line. The teams had to find license plate with a code that was at the top of their clue. At first, only Cheyne and Meghan, along with Zev and Justin, saw the code. They left first while other teams followed. Eventually, Lisa and Eric were left without a license plate. They were eliminated at the starting line. Every team left was traveling to Japan. The first 6 teams to complete the challange were on the first flight. The others all bundled up on flight no. 2. The flights unexpectedly arrived at the same time. They had to travel by taxi to a TV studio where they played "Wasabi Roulette." Maria had to esat 2 wasabis in a row. The teams then had to direct a group of people to the pit-stop. Cheyne and Mehgan came in first. Maria and Tiffany arrived last but were saved by a non-elimination leg. They will have to overcome a speedbump in the next leg.
