| Season 5 summary: 11 teams of 2 with a pre-existing relationship on a race around the world. But On The Way 8 Teams Were Eliminated: Dennis and Erika, Alison and Donny, Jim and Marsha, Bob and Joyce, Marshall and Lance, Charla and Mirna, Kami and Karli and Linda and Karen. In The End Only 3 Teams Remained: Chip and Kim, Colin and Christie and Brandon and Nicole. But in the end it was Chip and Kim who edged out Colin and Christie to win the million dollar prize.  | Records: -Marshall & Lance are the first ever team to quit the Race. -Chip & Kim are the oldest team to win the show. -Most women remaining in the final six: 9. -Linda & Karen being the 1st all female team to make it to the final 4 -There are 13 women on Season 5, the most among all the other seasons. -First season to introduce the Yield. -Charla & Mirna are the first cousin team to take part in the race. -7 new countries were visited - Uruguay, Russia, Egypt, Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Tanzania and Argentina -First season to reduce the Fast Forward to 2! -Kami & Karli were the first ever female twin team to be on the race. -Chip and Kim are the first team to use the yield -Colin and Christie are the first team to be yielded -First time having a Father and Daughter team (Jim & Marsha) -Only season to visit all 6 continents -Longest distance travelled out of all seasons -First season to have a non-elimination penalty (the team that finished last on a non-elimination leg was stripped of all their money and didn't receive any on the next leg) -Leg 6 marked the most Females to ever be left in the Race from any season. | |

I'm so happy that after Season 5 they implemented the maximum roadblocks an individual can do. I kind of think that Kim, Christie, and Nicole were kind of worthless the fact that they made their male partners do all of the roadblocks except 1. I think there would have been a different outcome if the girls had to do more roadblocks. Linda/Karen wouldn't have been snuckered at the end as I think both of them are stronger and better than the other girls. Even Kami/Karli and Charla/Mirna probably would have done better. Just glad that it's a rule now so that some people can't be dragged along by their partners. Anyone else think this or not??

Season 5 was my favorite season ever so far! i liked almost every team (only 3 Teams I Didn't Like) and i liked pretty much every destination and task!
