| Overview: 11 teams of two competed on a race around the world. But along the way 8 teams fell along the wayside - Ari & Staella, Kate & Pat, Marianna & Julia, Lorena & Jason, Shana & Jennifer, Azaria & Hendekea, Kynt & Vyxsin and Nathan & Jennifer. And only 3 teams remained: TK & Rachel, Ronald & Christina and Nicolas & Donald. But it was dating couple TK & Rachel who won the million dollars.  | Records & Notes: - Was the shortest season since Season 8. - First season to have the "U-Turn." - First season to have the "Speed Bump." - Kate and Pat were the first lesbian couple team on The Amazing Race. -Kynt and Vyxsin were the first goth team in The Amazing Race. - Kynt and Vyxsin were the first team to ever receive a Speed Bump. - Kynt and Vyxsin are the first team to U-Turn or Yield a team already ahead of them. - TK and Rachel is the first team to survive a Speed Bump. - Donald is the oldest contestant to make it into the final three. - Shana and Jennifer is the first team to use the U-Turn. - Lorena and Jason is the first team to be U-Turned. - Ronald and Christina are the first parent/child team to make into the final 3 and was placed the highest among all parent/child in history. - Jennifer (Nathan and Jennifer) was the first racer to be eliminated on her birthday. - 5 new countries were visited: Ireland, Burkina Faso, Lithuania, Croatia, and Taiwan. - 2 new cities were visited: Florence and Osaka. - Nicolas & Donald are the first grandchild/grandparent team - One of four seasons to not have a non-elimination leg until the final five - The season with the most number of people with the same name. (3 - Jennifer; Vyxsin's real name is Jennifer) |
| Good Situations: -Having no true rivalries through the course of the season. | Bad Situations: -TK & Rachel landing in Japan almost 3 hours behind the closest team at such a late point in the race. -Kynt & Vyxsin U-Turned a team ahead of them instead of Nathan & Jennifer, resulting in their elimination. -Shana & Jennifer almost hit by the speeding bus! -Lorena & Jason got U-turned by the blondies (Shana/Jennifer) which ultimately sealed their fate! -Nathan & Jennifer took bad advice from the local(s) in Taiwan, resulting in their elimination! They were just minutes behind Nicolas/Donald! |

This Season has to be my least favorite Season. They only had 2 half decent teams(Nick & Don,Nate & Jen) and the others were very bland. I'm glad it was so short.

In the team selection department there are some eri similarities between season 3 and 12.
Season 3 Cast; -An African American Brother/Sister, -heterosexual female racing with gay friend, -Countless couples, -6 of the teams were from New York and went to the same gym and/or movie theaters, Season 12 had the first african american brother/sister since season 3, the first heterosexual female racing with gay, male friend since season 3, and the countless couples. Also alot of the contestents went to the same middle school and knew of each other. Both races also spent the majority of their time in europe. I also noticed that both seasons had relatively few feuds, th ones that did occur were never really the center of attention. (Teri & Ian vs. Zach & Flo, Ronald & Christina vs. Nicolas & Donald) |

This season was so short and it felt even shorter where I live cause they put two episodes right after each other so it went for like 4-6 weeks...
