Magellan2037 My Trip to India 0 Dec 31 2007, 8:11 PM EST by Magellan2037

During Christmas break of 04-05, my family and I travelled to India. My grandfather immigrated to the US from India almost 50 years ago and it was his dream to bring his entire family back home. All of us were there for that trip, we met all our cousins and aunts and uncles while in the South. Then we went back up north to Delhi and the Taj Mahal. I was so excited when the Race went to India because I saw so many familiar sites and know what the Racers felt if it was their first time. If you ever get the chance, GO TO INDIA!!! It is an amazing trip.

I traveled to Australia last summer as a student ambassador with 25 other students! It was incredible. We went to the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Sydney Olympic Park, we rode on a cruise ship across the Sydney waters, we went to the Sydney aquarium, we bought opal jewelry for our families with big discounts, we went to the New Parliament House in Canberra, we went to the War Memorial Museum in Canberra, we went to the Australian Institute of Sport, we went to a sheep farm, then we flew to Darwin where we went to a park with over 1,000 crocodiles, we went to the Parliament House in Darwin, we went to Kakadu National Park, we flew in private jet planes over that park, we went to Litchfield National Park where we saw giant termite mounds, we saw lots of waterfalls there as well, we went to Cairns after that where we went to a rain forest, we got to hold a Koala, feed kangaroos and wallabies, we rode on an World War 2 across the rain forest, we threw boomerangs, we met REAL Aborigines, we did lots of shopping in Cairns, we stayed with awesome families there too for our home stays, we went to the Great Barrier Reef where we snorkeled, and we went to Fitzroy Island where we hiked to the top of the island and kayaked.
If you are considering going to Australia, you will not regret it!
