Lyn & Karlyn have been friends since the ninth grade, but the humorous banter that these single moms share makes them seem more like sisters. Referring to themselves as the "Black Debutantes" of the Race, this Alabama duo intends to compete with style, class and dignity. Their team name is Bama!

-Arrived 5th at Ly Thai To Garden in Hanoi where they had to listen for their next clue.
-Left the garden in first place but got lost on the way to the bus stop.
-Were on the same bus as the other teams to Ben Xe Bai Chay.
-Arrived 5th at the Roadblock.
-Karlyn performed the Roadblock.
-Karlyn finished the Roadblock in 5th place.

-Had some trouble rowing their sampan while doing the Detour.

-Argued with Dustin & Kandice and Tyler & James at the airport. Dustin & Kandice wanted to buy tickets for Tyler & James who were behind Lyn & Karlyn in the line.
-Were on the same flight as the other teams to Mauritius.
-Arrived 1st at Grand Baie but couldn't find parking, which caused them to fall to 4th place.
-Swam to the Isla Mauritia boat and received their clue in 4th place.
-Worked with their Six Pack alliance for the rest of the leg.
-Arrived at the post office and got the Detour clue in 3rd place.
-Chose "Salt" as their Detour.
-Switched to "Sea" after they couldn't find the clue.
-Arrived at the "Sea" Detour in 5th place.
-Finished the Detour in 5th place.
-Finished the Leg in 5th place, barely beating their allies David & Mary.		 LEG 8 RECAP:
-Started the Leg in 5th place.
-Were on the same flight as the other teams to Antananarivo, Madagascar.
-Got lost on the way to the Black Angel statue.
-Arrived 5th at the Intersection.
-Teamed up with David & Mary and decided to do "Long Sleep" as their Detour.
-Finished the Detour in last place and were no longer joined with David & Mary by the Intersection.
-Arrived at the Roadblock in last place.

-Karlyn traveled to the Pit Stop to wait for Lyn.

-Arrived 4th at the Kappeli Cafe where they had to log onto their email to get an email clue from their families.

-Jumped ahead of the taxi line without the locals' permission.
-Arrived 3rd at the Detour.
-Chose "Swamp This" as their Detour.
-Finished the Detour in 4th place.
-Were on the last train to Turku.
-Arrived 4th at the Roadblock.

-Arrived 3rd at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium where they had to get to the top of the tower and rappel face first down the tower.

-Arrived last at the Yield and were Yielded by Dustin & Kandice.

  • Leg 1: Labor - pave a 45 square-foot section of sidewalk in a specific pattern
  • Leg 2: Fill It Up - put 4 water containers on a cart pulled by a hynik, fill them up at a stream, bring them back by their hynik and fill a barrel up to a designated line
  • Leg 3: Fuel - form wet coal into 30 round bricks
  • Leg 4: Over - row to a provisions ship, load the provisions then row to a floating village to make 2 deliveries
  • Leg 5: Wild Things - help the workers move a crocodile to a new pit
  • Leg 6: Automatic - use a walkie-talkie to make a robotic jockey whip a camel and make it run 140 yards
  • Leg 7: Sea - search an island using a map for a sail and attach it to their boat
  • Leg 8: Long Sleep - put sheets on 8 mattresses then deliver them to a specific address
  • Leg 9: Swamp This - navigate a course through mud on cross country skis
  • Leg 9: Make the Music - perform a rap using all the names of the countries visited so far on the Race
  • Leg 10: Grind It - use a large crushing wheel to grind olives then pack them into bags
  • Leg 11: Lob It - search a giant pile of tomatoes and find one with a clue inside
  • Leg 12: Fashion - make a jacket to fit on a mannequin using the tools provided
 LEG 11 RECAP:

-Drove to Casablanca, Morocco and had trouble finding the cluebox at Quartier des Habous.

-Were not shown performing the final tasks since they were so far behind.
-Crossed the Finish Line in 3rd place and became the first all-female team to finish the Race.
