Married 40 Years		 Bio:
Fran & Barry have known each other for 45 years and have been married for over 40. The proud parents of two children, this adventure-loving couple makes their home in Summit County, Colorado. Although they travel a lot, the word "vacation" is not a frequently used term in their home. They prefer to refer to their trips around the world as "adventure travel."

Fran & Barry - Amazing Race All-Stars		 Unlucky Situations:
-Their car stopped functioning on the highway while on the way to the Pitstop on Leg 2.
-Had trouble at the motorbike building Detour on Leg 1.
-Had trouble at the Climbing Detour on Leg 2.
-Fran having trouble at the bungee jumping Roadblock on Leg 6.
-Went from 1st to Last on Leg 8.
-Have trouble finding a taxi in Australia causing them to lose alot of time.

  • Leg 1: Rotor Head - locate 1 of 3 buildings in a Sao Paulo city guide then travel by helicopter to that building and find a clue hidden inside
  • Leg 2: Climb It - each team member must use an ascender to climb up a waterfall
  • Leg 3: Scour - search among 1500 Russian nesting dolls for 1 of 10 with their next clue
  • Leg 3: Slap It - learn and perform a local folk dance
  • Leg 4: Laundry - search over 2400 articles of clothing for 1 of 16 with a red and yellow tag
  • Leg 5: Little Fish - sell 4 kg of small fish
  • Leg 6: It's All Greek To Me - find 9 artifacts with Greek letters, translate them to English letters and unscramble them to form the name of a location on a Greek map
  • Leg 7: Watchtower - search among three watchtowers for a scroll encased in silver and deliver it to a silversmith
  • Leg 8: Sand - drag 40 branches 126 yards to a marked sand dune

LEG 1 RECAP:
-Were last on the American flight, scheduled to arrive first in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
-Their flight was delayed 40 minutes and landed 5 minutes after the second flight.
-Arrived 6th at the rooftop of the Hotel Unique.
-Arrived at the bridge in 4th place but walked by the clue box several times.
-Got the Detour clue in 7th place.
-Chose the "Motor Head" Detour.
-Arrived at the "Motor Head" Detour in 6th place.
-Were disappointed when Lake didn't show them how to build the motorcycle.
-Switched their Detour to "Rotor Head"
-Arrived at the "Rotor Head" Detour in 10th place and chose the closest of three building to search for their next clue.
-Finished the Detour in 9th place.
-Arrived 8th in Santa Cecilia where they had to find a specific warehouse, witness a traditional ceremony and light a white candle to receive their next clue.

-Arrived last at the Mercedes-Benz factory where they took a test drive on the test track to receive their next clue.
-Arrived 4th at the Roadblock.

-Chose the "Slap It" Detour.
-Finished the Detour in 4th place.

-Were on the same flight as the other teams to Athens, Greece.
-Arrived at the Ancient Agora and waited for it to open.
-Found their next clue in last place and decided to go for the Fast Forward.
-Arrived at the Fast Forward and discovered that it had been taken.
-Were on the 2nd train to Isthmos Station in Corinth.
-Arrived last at the Roadblock.
-Fran performed the Roadblock and was really scared before she finally jumped.
-Fran finished the Roadblock in last place.
-Chose to do the "It's All Greek To Me" Detour.

-Arrived 3rd at Fremantle Port and had to wait until morning to catch a ferry.
-Were on the same ferry as the other teams to Rottnest Island.
-Arrived 4th at the Detour cluebox.
-Chose to do the "Sand" Detour.
-Arrived at the "Sand" Detour in 3rd place.
-Finished the Detour in 3rd place.
-Were on the third ferry to Fremantle Port and called for a taxi to wait for them.
-Their taxi never showed and they had a lot of trouble getting a taxi, eventually took a bus to Fremantle Prison.
-Arrived last at the Roadblock.
-Fran performed the Roadblock.
-Fran finished the Roadblock in last place.
-Arrived at the Pit Stop in last place and were eliminated.
