Episode 12.11 Final Leg of the Race
Leg # 11
Air Date: 01/20/08
From Taipei, Taiwan to Anchorage, Alaska, USA
 Episode Recap: teams had to travel to Anchorage, Alaska, the final race destination. First teams have to collect gears from store, 6th Avenue Outfitters. Next teams had to do Detour at Ship Creek Boat Launch. Then teams have travel 60 miles to the boat landing and get in speed boat to glacier where they had to climb to top. After that, they took a helicopter ride and landing to clearing known as Merrill field. Arriving at Goose Lake Park they had do their last roadblock task Next teams have to find famous explorer statue, Captain James Crook After, teams have to walk to another statue, the salmon hooker Finally teams have to go to the pit stop where the mat is red and TK and Rachel win the AMAZING RACE 12! |
 Detour: Cut the Cod or Grab the Crab.In Cut the Cod, teams used the supplied filet knife to gut the several cod on a provided table; a small canister hidden somewhere inside one of the fish would contain their next clue. Ronald & Christina and Nicolas & Donald chose to do this task. In Grab the Crab, teams had to enter a tank with 100 live crabs, and find the single crab marked with the yellow-and-red Race ribbon, to receive their next clue. Only TK & Rachel chose to do this task. |
 Roadblock: Who wants to relive your experience on the race? In this Roadblock, one team member had to select 10 items representing each previous leg of the race, from among many supplied (all of which they had previously encountered on the race), and place them on a platform that would open the cluebox with their next clue inside when done. Christina, Rachel and Nicolas participated this task. |

What a close race to the finish line, great way to cap off this race! The final three is now traveling to their final destination of Anchorage, Alaska. I do have to say that almost throughout this entire final leg, it was a very close race with all three teams.
For a little while there, it looked like Ronald & Christina were going to keep their lead ahead of the others. But soon enough, there always seems to be an equalizer or areas where you need to perform the task at a slower pace. Though I had a feeling Nicolas & Donald weren't going to win. It would of been nice to see, but I just felt they wouldn't of been able to. I think T.K. & Rachel during most of the time were in the middle of the pack right up until the end going neck and neck with Ronald & Christina. The final Roadblock was definitely a confusing one, basically remembering the entire race at that moment. So now with Nicolas & Donald falling farther behind, it's between T.K. & Rachel and Ronald & Christina of who will win the million dollars. But eventually, T.K & Rachel came running to the finish line first being crowned the winners of The Amazing Race 12 and winning the million dollars. Ronald & Christina came in second while Nicolas & Donald came in third. I am really happy T.K. & Rachel won. From what looked like they were close to being eliminated, they came back into it and won the whole thing. Well, this was another fun season of the race and I had a great time watching it with all of you. Hopefully we can do it again for The Amazing Race 13! Well, until next season, see ya!
