because I franatically searched my DVR for any signs that it had recorded my episode! Due to some unexplainable glitch (perhaps having something to do with the nasty DST problems or some Dish DVR bug) I missed the episode. Outraged at having completely missed viewing it, I came to the CBS site to check on the status of The Amazing Race. To my absolute shock and horror, I found out that Rob and Amber were elimated only as the site was updating its various forums, sections, pages and blogs. Now that almost 45 minutes has passed, most of the info has become available.
I strongly believe that ther are MORE people that watched this show because of the inclusion of Rob and Amber than there are viewers of the show because they are simply Amazing Race Fans. I am willing to BET that ratings have gone UP because of the inclusion of Rob and Amber. I also think that most people won't take the time of day to post to a message board like this and state what they truly feel. I feel so stongly that I could spit nails at the execs and producers of this show. Are you out of your mind? With as much decorum as I can muster, I hope I speak for a large population of the TV viewing public in saying that Rob and Amber simply should NOT have been eliminated on this leg. For goodness sake, I haven't even seen the episode and now I likely won't watch anymore episodes because frankly, everyone else is BORING and these folks are supposed to be all-stars. I think you, as producers, need to find a way to reinstate them into the race, simply because it is ridiculous to eliminate your front-runners of the first 3 legs of this race. It's as if to say Michael Jordan shouldn't have played in the Playoffs with the Bulls since one game during the normal season, he didn't achieve his average of baskets. Ridiculous. You MUST know that Rob and Amber make this show come alive for so much of the TV public. I cannot believe that I took time out of my day to post this, but I believe it necessary.

Don't you think it's odd that Rob and Amber came in 1st place in the first 3 game's and was eliminated the 4th game? I think that since they were in the middle of their reality show "Against the odds" when they got the call about the All stars, that they agreed to just do a few episodes, just to get the fans to watch. I'm sure CBS made it worth it for them. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Rob and Amber, it just seems so strange that they were doing so great and then drop all the way to eliminated. Just wondering if I am the only one who find's this odd. As amazing as this couple is, they should have made it all the way!! Since they are not in the show anymore, I have not watched it--But I am sure that I haven't missed anything except the tall cousin yelling at her disabled cousin all the time and the tall one who always seems to talk funny to the people from these country's they are in. Can't forget the model guy who is obsessed with his girlfriends breasts--That got old quick. Anyways, just thought I'd put my opinion out there. Hope some of you at least are still enjoying the show.

Okay, I have never posted a comment before - but after reading all the "happy" reactions to Rob & Amber's elimination - I had to post.
Rob & Amber were and still are the best team on TAR- All Stars. I can see why Rob rubs some people the wrong way - but he only says what the rest of us are thinking - he is honest and not putting on an act. He is 100% authentic and genuine. I like that. Rob and Amber are the best team players. They don't yell and scream at each other (Mirna/Charla), make inappropriate comments (Eric and his many comments about his girlfriends "boob"), swear at each other or put each other down. They have great communication and respect for each other and are supportive one another no matter what is happening. I loved watching the other teams obsess about "where are Rob & Amber", "what is Rob doing", "what is Rob thinking" etc, etc, etc. They were so obsessed that they couldn't concentrate on their own race. Its sad to say, but its human nature to "hate on" those who excell. Rob & Amber excell at competition. They focus on themselves & create opportunities. That is what successful people do. Example: Other teams arrive at airports and spend their time joking, wandering around & wondering about their position. Rob & Amber research their clues on the internet - SMART! We didn't see much from Amber on Survivor Australia - she was a nice girl who was fairly good during challenges - but once she teamed up with Rob on All Starts - she really ampted up her game and came out on top. Rob has been great T.V. since Survivor Marquesas. People underestimate him because of his Boston accent - he is smart and seizes opportunities. Really - how many of you would have stepped out of the cab for Mirna & Charla - I thought so!! Amber was smart screaming "I got it" in front of Charla. Good strategy .... and that's what you do in a GAME. They are not there to build a Eutopian society .... they are there to play a GAME. Period.

How I would love to see these two gone!!! They expect everyone to share information and be honest, and then get mad when the others don't do that. Worse, they hold a double standard - when they aren't honest or nice, "it's a game". Seriously, it is a game, and you are a fool for asking another team to give you honest information. So, suck it up ladies and play the game.... but I hope you're gone next week!

Someone's comment below was that "Rob must have been looking over his shoulder for the competition when the envelope with their name on it went by, maybe a few times" is probably what really did happen. Rob is far too competitive and he can't handle loosing. Amber has been pretty even keeled for the most part, but she certainly showed her dark side by lying so easily to C&M. R&A deserve each other. The decision by Rob to stay with the signs too long didn't help either. YEA...They're FINALLY gone. Maybe CBS changed their mind and decided to make this an elimination round BECAUSE R&A were last. Viewers can only stand so much before they start watching another show. Look at the overall theme of the comments and they overwellmingly are glad to see R& A gone.

Loved this episode! I'm not sure though if it was karma or Rob's ego that did them in. It felt a bit like karma for sure and not just because of them lying to Charla and Mirna. (I wouldn't have told them if the clue was down the path or not either, but playing all innocent afterwards when they were confronted about it was pretty low class. At least have the guts to admit it.) Aside from the lying, there were two other moments in the race where karma could have come back to bite them: when they stole the directions from Uchenna on the plane and when they stole the taxi from Charla and Mirna.
Rob's ego also played a factor, though... he got too cocky. He didn't pay attention on the sign clue, and was too stubborn to leave it to go to the other task early enough to make a difference. Then he didn't even try to use the compass properly he just assumed he knew where they were going and ended up going to the wrong place. That all turned out to be pretty costly. All in all... a very sloppy performance on Rob and Amber's part... I'm glad that they were eliminated by their own mistakes.

Guys, just wanna know if have you watch the video of rob and amber in the elimination station??...only people from U.S can view it.....just wanna know if what is it about..im a bit curious coz it seems that rob and amber are still on the game...
I really want them back........i love rob and amber... i hope to see them on the race....

why when Rob & Amber were in last place they were eliminated but when Uchenna & Joyce were in last place oh suprise.....no elimination... that is cause the show is fixed and Uchenna & Joyce are going to win yet again by reason of help from the show....holding up a plane and reopening a plane door never unheard of..oh but in the last race for Uchenna & Joyce it was allowed..Rob & Amber.....it was unfair to you....you were the most fun to watch and the show is off the air as far as I am concerned.

i was not able to watch this episode...got all shocked learning that they were eliminated!!! it was so sad....they are the best team in the amazing race....ever!!! amazing race will now be boring to watch without them around....

I've read some of the comments and have to agree that something was definitely fishy about their lack of competitiveness at the end.It was as if their departure was preordained by the producers or higher ups.Those two fight to the end at all times but not this time?Pleeeeeaaase!Charla and Mirna arrive at the dock while the others are still searching.Rob decides to take his time looking for the letter even though Mirna whisks through her bag and discovers hers first.Then he slowly reads it(all one hundred words) and both walk the traill to the pit stop?They have run every time to the pit stop being in first place.Now they were last and had to beat Mirna and Charla who cannot run at all but they decide to walk it?Pleeeeeaaase!I scream foul play!This is poppycock!B.S.I smell a fix people.

I watched this show to see Rob and Amber compete bc there a truely competitive team. Now that there gone, I will no longer watch. They are really the only "All Stars". The show needs more people like them!

With Rob and Amber eliminated.(unfairly) .the show is not worth watching. The other racers are boring.. and their obsession with Rob and Amber was just too pathetic. Rob and Amber played the game the best. .and all the negativilty directed towards them by the other teams was idiotic, unnecesary, and indicative of the character(s) or lack thereof of the other teams... I don't understand why it was an elimination round..but, I am sure the the show will loose viewers as a result of losing Rob and Amber so quickly. I know I will not bother watching the rest of the episodes.

I, personally, was sad to see Rob and Amber eliminated from The Amazing Race: All-Stars. I think they were the best team in all the seasons of the race. They always had a good strategy, and they knew what to do, and when to do it. I think that the main reason people watched all-stars was because they either loved Rob and Amber, or they hated them and would love to see them gone. With them out, there will be nobody to boo. That's how valuable they are to The Amazing Race. It's a shame that "Phillipeans" had to be their downfall. I think that ratings will go down because of this. I dont really care who wins because they were DEFINITELY the team to watch. Also, I noticed that the Philippines was the downfall of the two best male racers ever in The Amazing Race- Colin and Rob. Colin's was MY OX IS BROKEN, and Rob's Phillipeans.

I was elated when it looked like Charla & Myrna were going (they still need to asap), but the icing on the cake was Rob & Amber tanking...and tanking early in the race made it that much more gratifying! I wasn't hip on this All-Star episode to begin with because I think all the teams are un-exciting and only watching Episode 4 as background filler as there's nothing else interesting on TV at that time. Rob & Amber need to move on and actually live a REAL life. As for the lying and scheming stuff, it's a competition, it's a game, are you honestly telling me that you wouldn't do it if you had the chance, even a little bit? Rob & Amber didn't make TAR great, TAR makes it great because anything can happen, and I don't think the show is fixed. Think back to other episodes, non-elimination rounds didn't happend until farther into the race.
Lastly to ALL Producers of shows like these, including TAR - PLEASE STOP doing these "All-Star/Celebrity" (reunion) reality shows, they suck and are totally uninteresting. And I agree with whoever said to bring back The Mole (I know, different network), and without using celebrities. |

I thought getting letters from past racers was a great idea on this roadblock. Since it's an "all-star" race, it was a nice way to work in past racers that weren't asked to play and to resurrect old drama from past seasons. Pretty interesting getting some of the teams that hated each other most to do the letters too... I was surprised they had 'Bama send one to the Beauty Queens and thought Lyn was totally classy. She definitely was the nicest of the two on that team last season. I wish we could have read the whole letters though!

I see where someone writes that they agree with most people that there is no more reason to watch with Rob and Amber gone. It's exactly the opposite! Most of the posters couldn't stand them! I agree the majority and was cheering out loud they they were eliminated.

This was one the best episodes ever on TAR. All the teams where too good and there were too many factors at play especially in this episode... complacency on RAmber's part for one...I am so glad that they lost. From the start of the race, they had been behaving as they had it all figured out so far and karma bit them in the ass. Serves them right for being so cocky and stooping too low... Ambers comment that "they could beat charla in a foot race any day" was the last straw... now we'll see who they r gonna beat sitting at the elimination station (LOSERS!!!!)... this episode would have sucked if it had been a non-elimination...TAR 11 just got better by getting rid of the su%$#rs... best to the rest of the teams
