David & Mary are a husband and wife Team from Stone, Kentucky. They met while working at a McDonald's 10 years ago and have been inseparable since. The proud parents of three children, David works as a coal miner and Mary is a stay-at-home mom. Their primary motivation for being on The Amazing Race is to expand their horizons and see what the world holds outside of the "Bluegrass State." Their team name is Team Kentucky.

-Were 3rd in the 7:15am departure time.
-Arrived 8th at the Detour.
-Chose "Labor" as their Detour.

-Arrived 7th at the Great Wall but struggled alot with the climb, allowing 3 teams to pass them.
-Finished the Leg in 10th place.		 LEG 2 RECAP:

-Were on the second bus to the train station.
-Were on the same train as the other teams to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
-Arrived 7th at the Choijin Lama Monastery.

-Originally arrived 3rd in Terelj but got stuck in the mud and needed a replacement jeep, allowing 6 teams to pass them.
-Passed a few teams while riding horses on the way to the Detour.

-Forgot their fanny pack at the Detour and had to go back for it, which dropped them to 6th place.

-Started the leg in 7th place.
-Arrived last at Ly Thai To Garden in Hanoi where they had to listen for their next clue.
-Were on the same bus as the other teams to Ben Xe Bai Chay.
-Arrived 1st at the Roadblock.
-David performed the Roadblock.
-David finished the Roadblock in 2nd place.
-Arrived 3rd at the Detour clue.
-Chose "Under" as their Detour.
-Had alot of trouble rowing their sampan to the Detour.

-Started the Leg in 5th place.
-Formed an alliance with Lyn & Karlyn and Erwin 7 Godwin.
-Were on the same train as the other teams to Hanoi where they had to buy tickets at a travel agent.
-Were originally on the last flight to Chennai, India but Erwin & Godwin told them about an earlier flight.
-Were on standby for the 2nd flight to Chennai but didn't make it and had to take the next flight from Delhi.
-Were on the last bus to Mamallapuram.
-Arrived last at the Detour.
-Chose "Wild Rice" as their Detour where David wanted to switch Detours but Mary didn't.
-Finished the Detour in last place.
-Were on the last bus to Chennai.
-Arrived last at the Roadblock.
-David performed the Roadblock.
-David finished the Roadblock in last place.
-Finished the Leg in last place but were saved by a Non-Elimination Leg.

-Mary was going to do the Roadblock but they decided to go for the Fast Forward.
-Erwin & Godwin followed them back down the elevator and let them go for the Fast Forward.

-Completed the Fast Forward in 1st place and were directed to the Pit Stop.

LEG 7 RECAP:
-Started the Leg in 1st place.
-Were on the same flight as the other teams to Mauritius.
-Arrived 5th at Grand Baie where they had to swim to the Isla Mauritia boat to receive their next clue.
-Finished the swim in 5th place.
-Worked with their Six Pack alliance for the rest of the leg.
-Arrived at the post office and got the Detour clue in 4th place.
-Chose "Salt" as their Detour.
-Switched to "Sea" after they couldn't find a clue in a salt shaker.
-Arrived at the "Sea" Detour in last place.
-Finished the Detour in last place.
-Finished the Leg in last place but were saved by a Non-Elimination Leg. However, they were Marked for Elimination on the next leg.		 LEG 8 RECAP:
-Started the Leg in last place and were Marked for Elimination.
-Were on the same flight as the other teams to Madagascar.
-Got lost on the way to the Black Angel statue.
-Arrived 4th at the Intersection.
-Teamed up with Lyn & Karlyn and decided to do "Long Sleep" as their Detour.
-Finished the Detour in last place and were no longer joined with Lyn & Karlyn by the Intersection.
-Arrived at the Roadblock in 5th place.
-Mary performed the Roadblock.
-David traveled to the Pit Stop to wait for Mary.
-Mary finished the Roadblock in 5th place.
-Arrived at the Pit Stop in 5th place but received their Marked for Elimination penalty (30 minutes) for not coming in first on this leg.
-David & Mary had 20 minutes remaining after Lyn & Karlyn checked in, and as a result, they finished the Leg in last place and were eliminated.		 Detours Done:
  • Leg 1: Labor - pave a 45 square-foot section of sidewalk in a specific pattern
  • Leg 2: Fill It Up - put 4 water containers on a cart pulled by a hynik, fill them up at a stream, bring them back by their hynik, and fill a barrel up to a designated line
  • Leg 3: Fuel - form wet coal into 30 round bricks
  • Leg 4: Under - row to an oyster farm and pull 30 oyster baskets up from under the water
  • Leg 5: Wild Rice - use coloured powder made from rice to colour a floral design
  • Leg 6: Won the Fast Forward (get the Fast Forward clue from a cluebox right next to a simulated oil fire)
  • Leg 7: Sea - search an island using a map to find the boat's sail and attach it to their boat
  • Leg 8: Long Sleep - put sheets on 8 mattresses then deliver them to a certain address
