Amazing Race: Season 15

Vote for your favorite teams! | RECORDS: -Lowest number of female racers in a season, with only 9. -Tied with Season 4 for most male racers in a race besides the family edition. (15 male racers) -Only season (besides Season 8) to have only 1 All-Female team. -Eric & Lisa is the first team to ever get eliminated at the startline of the race. -First time the US version had a non-elimination on the first Leg. -First time there was a task at the start line. -Only the second time the Race crossed the Pacific Ocean on the first Leg. -The first time that the first Detour was not until the 3rd Leg. -Mika is the first racer to ever not complete a task due to her inability/fear. -First season since Season 4 to have 7 teams eliminated on 7 consecutive legs | ||
| GOOD SITUATIONS: - The first Leg was a Non-Elimination Leg. -Brian & Ericka was the last team to complete the Roadblock on Leg 1 but manged to clinch a 6th place finish. -Maria & Tiffany managed to overcome their SpeedBump and managed to clinch a safe position in the race. -Meghan & Cheyne did fast in Leg 3 and managed to caught up with Flight Time & Big Easy. -Brian and Ericka working well together in Leg 3 and coming from last place to 4th place -Maria & Tiffany escaped elimination twice in Leg 1 and 4. -Maria & Tiffany 's good maths skill allow them to secure them a 2nd place in Leg 6. -Dan & Sam bring calculator to the race. -Despite fears in the Leap of Faith, most racers face it and manage to complete it. | BAD SITUATIONS: - Eric & Lisa being eliminated right away at the starting line when they can't find the license plate. - Maria & Tiffany lost 2 tourists in Leg 1 and incurred a 2 hour penalty. - Jessica had trouble in the duck Roadblock, which ultimately caused her team to be eliminated in Leg 2. - Marcy & Ron took a dfficult Detour and were unable to catch up with the rest of the teams and got eliminated in Leg 3. - Zev and Justin came in first on Leg 4, but were eliminated because Zev lost his passport. -Lance and Keri getting lost in Dubai,which lead them to their elimination. -Flight Time & Big Easy persuade Mika not to do Leap of Faith. -Mika's fear of water and height allowed Flight Time and Big Easy, the only team behind them, to pass them and caused Mika and Canaan to fall to last, which ulitmately eliminated them in Leg 6. -Brian & Ericka receive 30 mins penalty for not taking the bikes to the detour option. - Maria & Tiffany were unable to do either choices of the detour forcing them to quit the race. | ||

Applications were originally due by February 24, 2009, but were later extended. As of April 4, 2009, applications were still being accepted. Semi-finalist interviews were to be held sometime between March 20 and March 29, 2009. Following this, finalists would have been invited to Los Angeles sometime between April 23 and April 30, 2009 for final interviews with the producers. From there, about 11 teams will be selected to be contestants in the show, which is scheduled to film in Summer 2009. However, casting calls are still being held as host Phil Keoghan, currently cycling across the United States during the month of April and early May 2009 to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, continues to make stops to help with these casting calls. This season will be the first season in which the old route markers on the clues will be replaced by the newer route markers since they were introduced on the television broadcast of Season 14. CBS will be ordering airing the cycle during the start of the 2009-2010 television season.The announcement is the first such television series announcement to be made by a broadcaster on Twitter, following Keoghan's own initial announcement of the renewal via Twitter. I just finished watching the Nov.1 st episode, the teams are in Holland. I noticed something fishy. The teams had to count bells in a tower. Most teams selected one person to complete this challenge. But, both Cheyne and his girlfriend were counting the bells together. The clue said to choose one person, but they worked together. They were the first to complete the counting because they did it together, then the gave the answer to another team. None of the other teams said anything. Was this cheating?
